What is SoundLab AI?
SoundLab AI is an AI music generator for the web, iPhone and Android, made by Klipx Limited in London. Describe the music you want — genre, mood, lyrics — and it generates a full track with vocals in seconds. No musical experience needed.
How do credits work?
Generating a song costs 10 credits and returns two versions. Free accounts start with 10 credits; Pro accounts get a weekly or monthly pool. Most actions cost 10 credits — extending, replacing a section, adding vocals or instrumental, remastering. AI cover art is 5 credits and free on Pro. Credits roll over and never expire, and failed generations are refunded automatically.
What engine generates the songs?
Every new song is generated on SL v3.5 — our newest engine, with smarter writing and improved vocals — on every plan, free included. Older tracks keep the badge of the engine that made them, and edits to those songs stay on their original engine.
What can I change after the song exists?
Extend it, replace any 6–20 second section, add vocals to an instrumental, add backing to an a cappella, or remaster it with genre-specific AI mastering. You can also generate cover art for it.
Can I make a video of my song?
Yes. The free music visualizer turns any song into an audio-reactive video with synced lyrics, in square, widescreen or vertical format. Preview it in your browser, then log in to export an MP4 (best in Chrome or Edge on a computer). SoundLab songs bring their lyrics with them; for any other song you can add an LRC, SRT or VTT lyrics file. On your own song's page, Create Music Video also makes a lyric video for you: free on Pro, or 5 credits with a small watermark on the free plan.
What is voice cloning?
Record 10–30 seconds of your singing voice and the AI builds a custom vocal model from it, then generates songs that sing in a voice like yours. It is a Pro feature, costs no credits, and you can keep up to 5 cloned voices.
Can I put my songs on Spotify?
Yes. Pro subscribers download MP3 or lossless WAV with full commercial rights, so you can release your songs on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music and TikTok through a music distributor, then link the releases back to your SoundLab profile.
Can I use the songs commercially?
Songs you create are yours to use. Pro subscribers get full commercial usage rights, which is what content creators, podcasters, and indie artists need.
What happens in the community?
Ten always-on genre radio stations where everyone hears the same song at the same time, a personalised For You feed, trending charts of the most-liked songs, and staff picks. You get a public profile, followers, and sharing to Twitter, Facebook and Reddit. Creators can let others remix their public tracks.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. No contracts — cancel from the billing page and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Is SoundLab AI free?
Yes — 10 free credits (your first song, two versions), no card needed. You also get the community, the radio stations and songs on the same SL v3.5 engine as Pro; the AI lyric writer and voice cloning need Pro.
